General officers are elected
by the general membership at the January business meeting, most recently held on January 29, 2013. All
elected officers have equal voting rights on business brought before
them. The following
descriptions are meant to expand upon the duties outlined in the club’s
By-Laws and are in no way meant to supercede them.

Appointed Positions
are named by
the President. They serve as non-voting, advisory members of the
Board of Directors.
President: Presides over all general business meetings and meetings of the Board of Directors. Appoints all committee chairman (with the exception of the Activities Committee, see Activities Director below). Provides leadership and a vision for the clubs future direction. Represents the club to the rest of the community.
Vice President: Fills in for the President during his absence. Represents the club on the Arts & Crafts Committee. Keeps the club’s bulletin board and monthly schedule board current and maintains the brochures for the community information center. Also responsible for community communications via Channel 21, the club website, etc.
Secretary:Takes and publishes the minutes of all general business and B.O.D. meetings. Maintains and publishes the clubs official roster. Responsible for all club correspondence.
Treasurer: Receives and disburses all club funds. Maintains, delivers and retrieves the club fare box at events. Prepares and publishes monthly (verbal) and annual (written) financial report. Directs all club purchases and prepares the annual budget.
Program Director: Forms a committee to plan, advertise and host all club events except closed operating sessions (see Chief Dispatcher). Events to include, but not limited to, Christmas party, annual picnic, RR movie festival, open houses, “hard core” RR movie nights, industrial tours, rail fan trips, tourist RR trips and clinics.
HO Superintendent: Responsible for the planning and provides leadership for the construction of the HO layout. He will keep a record of each members work certification status. Will delegate specific areas of construction to various subordinates as necessary. (appointed position)
Garden Superintendent: Responsible for planning, and leadership in construction and operation of the Garden RR. (appointed position)
Chief Dispatcher: Responsible for planning and implementing a system of prototype operation to include, but not limited to, a timetable, car cards and waybills, train briefs, station aids, rules of operation and a seniority system. (appointed position)
Electrical Superintendent: Responsible for planning and leadership in wiring and all things electrical on the GLW layout.
Webmaster: Keeps the PCMRC website current and functional.
